Do I need a stamp to return my ballot?

No, you no longer need a stamp to mail your ballot in King County.

Where are the accessible voting centers?

You can vote in person at our office in Renton or Elections Annex in downtown Seattle. Visit our website for directions and hours.

How late can I vote?

Ballot drop boxes close at 8 p.m. Election Day and mailed in ballots must be postmarked by February 12.

Will ballot drop boxes remain open during inclement weather?

Yes. Ballot drop boxes are open 24/7 and will close promptly at 8 p.m. Election Day.

Can Election Day be extended or postponed if weather conditions result in the post office to close early or prevent me from getting to a ballot drop box? 

No. Election Day cannot be moved or extended, per state law.

How do I know my vote was counted?

Follow your ballot with My Voter Information to see when we send out, receive and count your ballot.

How often are ballots picked up from drop boxes?

We pick up ballots daily. Some locations will have multiple pickups during Election Day.

I forgot to sign my envelope. What do I do?

We will contact you to get your signature so that your vote is counted.

Can I still register to vote?

The deadline to register to vote for the February 12 Special Election was Monday February 4, 2019.

What if I return my Pierce/Kitsap County ballot to a King County ballot drop box?

No worries! We will forward your ballot to the appropriate county.

How do I get election results?

Election results will be posted to our website by 8:15 p.m. Election Day.

How do I get an I-voted sticker?

You can download a digital I-voted sticker on our website.

Can you tell me that you recorded my vote?

No. Once we remove your ballot from its envelope, we don’t know how you voted. This ensures your privacy.

I forgot the security sleeve. Is that ok?

No problem. We’ll still process your ballot securely and confidentially.
